This record came from two improvised sessions at the SUNY Fredonia Studios. Shortly after its release in December of 1995, the band refused to do a two-week European jaunt in support of the record and kicked me out of the band - this is after my friend, who was paying for everything, printed 1,000 CD's. They took a year to re-record the largely improvised record under their own name.

This project also had me blacklisted by Ed Cardoni at Hallwalls. The band refused to pay to rent video-projection equipment to play at their fundraiser at the Buffalo Arts Studio, after all, they're a well-established institution and we were broke musicians in our 20's. He only gave us a week's notice and we would've had to cancel our monthly residency at The Screening Room, where we played the soundtrack to silent movies. Boy had me kicked out of Buffalo Arts Studio shortly thereafter, and replaced by one of his lackeys. And he has held onto this, having his sax boy blow his bottom horn at the opening of my "Soulstice" show at Pausa Art House in 2014, any engagement muted by the blasts of their zombie music, only kept alive by the milk of the arts establishment - nothing new. The boy played to a silent movie, forced anyone to pay a cover to be allowed in the venue, and Ed spent the evening, as he does whenever I display my work, gawking at my girl - pathetic. So that's the rest of the story, as Paul Harvey used to say.

A couple of weeks ago I listened to the record and, 28 years later, have re-mastered it. If you can believe it, the original version remains available on cd.

Originally recorded at 44k 16bit, I expanded it to 24 bits. What you don't get on this format release is the timing between songs. there are spaces and some fade into each other - soon come --
